Do better

Dear Jen,
Your daughter’s not looking at the extra weight you’ve put on. She’s not looking at the cellulite you’re concerned about, or the varicose veins. What she DOES notice is how you carry yourself. She’s learning how to love herself. How will she learn to love herself if she doesn’t see you loving YOURself? You have to do better! Play in the water with her. No more saying, “I’ll be more fun after I lose weight and feel more comfortable in a swimsuit.” Even when you were younger and smaller, you still weren’t good enough in your own eyes. God says you are chosen, set apart, redeemed, fearfully and wonderfully made, precious in His eyes, His treasured posession. She’s watching and learning from you… do better.

I am a military wife, mom, foster mom and most importantly... I LOVE me some Jesus! Over the last few years, I've realized how refreshing, and important, it is to be completely vulnerable. I have struggled with depression and anxiety, and opening up about it has helped so many people open up to me as well! I live to encourage and inspire others. Thank you for getting to know me! If you are reading this, I have already prayed for you... that you will leave here feeling refreshed, encouraged, and feeling the love that Jesus has for YOU!
