Jesus Sees You!

I absolutely love the story of “the woman with the issue of blood” in the Bible. Having dealt with chronic pain for ๐˜บ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ด, I can understand her desperation, and ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ the words Jesus spoke to this woman, (who essentially had her period for 12 straight years!)

Something that continues to amaze me is how Holy Spirit can reveal something new and fresh no matter how many times we’ve read certain passages of Scripture. The healing is so beautiful!! This is the part I tend to focus on because I have sat at the feet of Jesus begging for my own healing. However, I had a fresh revelation in a different part of the story. The words that leapt off of the page were, “๐˜‘๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ถ๐˜ด ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜ธ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ.” He ๐™จ๐™–๐™ฌ ๐™๐™š๐™ง!!

This woman, that had spent all of her money, time and resources desperately seeking medical attention, would have been an outcast. She would have to yell out “unclean!” if anyone came close to her. She would have to walk on the other side of the road to avoid being near others. I imagine that she probably felt alone, hopeless, unseen. I’m sure that after getting her hopes up time and again, she probably came to a point where she accepted this was just her life. She would have to suck it up and deal with it always. I know that feeling all too well. Then she heard of this Jesus!

What great faith! Finally, hope! I love that we see her story in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Since Matthew has the least amount of details, it’s not the account I usually read, but I love the words he wrote in Matt 9:22. Here she is feeling hopeless, disappointed, alone and unnoticed, (and actually in this moment she was ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ to go unnoticed), but… Jesus saw her. Mark and Luke go into more detail about how Jesus asked who touched Him.

This is such a wonderful reminder that Jesus ๐ฌ๐ž๐ž๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ฌ. No matter what our circumstances are, He ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด us. He is waiting for us to reach out for Him; to fall at His feet.

I truly feel that every word in the Bible has been put there for a purpose. I usually enjoy the more detailed versions of this story, so I often overlook Matthew 9. Yet, I found myself there so the Holy Spirit could speak those words directly to my heart, and maybe you need them too… ๐™š๐™จ๐™ช๐™จ. ๐™Ž๐™š๐™š๐™จ.

Thank You, Lord โค

I am a military wife, mom, foster mom and most importantly... I LOVE me some Jesus! Over the last few years, I've realized how refreshing, and important, it is to be completely vulnerable. I have struggled with depression and anxiety, and opening up about it has helped so many people open up to me as well! I live to encourage and inspire others. Thank you for getting to know me! If you are reading this, I have already prayed for you... that you will leave here feeling refreshed, encouraged, and feeling the love that Jesus has for YOU!
