As we were on a hike Saturday, I heard myself telling Annabelle to follow in her daddy’s footsteps because he knew the best path that would keep her safe. Ummm lightbulb anyone?! 💡😊 I imagine our Heavenly Father is saying the same to us. “My precious child, I have a path laid out for you. Follow Me, My Word, My Guidance and prompting because I know what is best” 💕
When I get off on my own path or try to take control and lead the way, things tend to get messy (Like Skye in this pic 😂)
Now in following Jesus, does that mean things will never get “messy”?? Of course not. He even says “In this world, you will have trouble..” (John 16:33) ..can’t leave out the best part, “But take heart! I have overcome the world” 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
You’ll still find yourself going through “messy” situations, but if you do I promise God is working on something. Jesus came to the earth to cleanse us and set an example for us. The growing and cleansing process will reveal things we didn’t see before! Like when I washed the insane amount of mud off of Skye’s shoes, I realized he had a couple of holes. You’ll see things you never noticed. God may be revealing a hole that needs mending.. or maybe He wants to bless you with a new pair of shoes 😘 You get the picture…
