Every time I read about God first appearing to Moses in “the burning bush,” I can relate so much to him. My response may have been the same… Actually, I 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 asked the same… “But God, who am I?” I love that God responds with, “I will be with you.” Then when he asks, “What if they ask, what is his name?” God says, “𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐈 𝐀𝐌.” So Moses is expressing his concerns and insecurities, questioning his worth, qualifications, and abilities… and God is answering him with who 𝐇𝐄 (God) is! I love this, and find it so comforting.
When we don’t think WE are good enough, smart enough, qualified enough; God says, “Oh sweet child of mine, don’t rely on who 𝘺𝘰𝘶 are or aren’t… Rely on who 𝐈 𝐀𝐌.” ❤
Thank You, Lord, that we don’t have to rely on our own strength, abilities, smarts, but on 𝐘𝐨𝐮 Lord. You just want our faith and obedience. Thank You, God, for being with us and doing what we can’t, and only you can. 🙏🏽❤
